6th, 7th, & 8th Grade Battle of the Books Team Meeting

Event Description

Calling 6th, 7th, and 8th graders! Do you love to read? Do you want to meet other kids your age who also love to read? The Library has a Battle of the Books team for you.

No attendee limit, but participants must be in the 6th, 7th, or 8th grade.

The New Mexico Battle of the Books encourages the youth of New Mexico to read high-quality literature, have fun, and compete by demonstrating their knowledge of books. Children will read 10 books from a list of 20 over the course of the school year. At the meetings they will get to know and socialize with other children their age who are reading the same books! In April, we will attend the Central New Mexico Battle together, where they will meet and compete with other children from the area who love to read, and who have read the same books. Battle of the Books is a wonderful celebration of children, books, and children who love books!
